San Francisco 49ers (official thread)

He still had a pretty good game. Has to quit running E-W with this line and more quick hitters...
It's a shame, because if he could have run behind those 2011-13 lines, he would have been a goddamned monster. Like league leading rusher MONSTER. As it stands now, on pretty much every carry he has to try to make something out of nothing as these losers are incapable of blocking a high school team, let alone an NFL defensive line.

And as much as people like to blame Kap for the offense's woes, he has stood in there pretty well considering he's constantly under intense pressure and his receivers are garbage. Yes, the Arizona game was an unmitigated disaster, but outside of that, the improvement over last year has been noticeable. Put him behind a somewhat capable NFL OL, and he can still be a good NFL QB. Unfortunately for him, that ain't happening any time soon, and given how team-friendly his contract is, I wouldn't be surprised to see them cut bait after this season unless he miraculously pulls out a good year. As the OL is currently constructed, Montana and Young would probably look like journeymen.

He's dumb. Like dumb as in doesn't have the mental capability to coach at this level, probably also is too dumb to coach Division I college. It's hard to comprehend how Baalke thought it was possible he could succeed, how he could convince ANY football person he could be a HC or even an OC or DC.

The front office has started leaking stuff to make Kaepernick look bad. He's done. That's how they do it. When they wanted Singletary gone, when they wanted Harbaugh gone, and now Kap---instead of just getting rid of them and attempting to upgrade, they spend a whole season cutting off their nose to spite their face and spitting leaks into the media to make the people they don't want look bad.

This organization is a clown show with bottom-five ownership and an egomaniac gm who built his rep with what is becoming increasingly apparent was a lucky couple of drafts. That and lucking into a hot young coach that was blossomimg in their own back yard. Without harbrau, this franchise is probably in the midst of a going on 13 year playoff drought. God knows when they'll sniff the postseason again, but I don't think it's a stretch to say not until there's a significant restructuring of the front office/ownership.

There's no need to leak anything about Kap. He just isn't good enough to work around or manage. Yeah, they need to get rid of him if they want to take a step forward.

I'll maintain until the bitter end that he can be good enough to get a team to the postseason if he had even a functional OL and receivers. But, bottom line is, they don't have, and are no where near having either of those. So, yeah...he's essentially a lame duck. But, even Montana and/or Young would look like turds on this team. I would absolutely argue that this is one of the worst NFL OL's I've ever seen. They are THAT bad.
