San Francisco 49ers (official thread)

Yeah, thank God for bye weeks. Cripes is this team banged up.

Also, rumors that Aldon could be back sooner than expected. That would be a tremendous help, as aside from Justin Smith, the pass rush has been spotty at best. Also, the OL play has been such a letdown this year. Part of it is losing 2 starters for extended time. Davis didn't look so good, but hopefully that was just him shaking off some rust. Plus, the donkey pass rush is a tough first assignment coming off injury.

Will be interesting to see how they bounce back. They have always performed well with their backs against the wall under Harbaugh, and their backs are definitely against the wall right now. Not sure anybody in the division is gonna catch AZ. Arians has them playing very well, and I think he might be the best coach in the division right now. If the injuries don't let up, I have a hard time seeing this team getting into the postseason.

One other thing, I hope we see more Stevie Johnson and less Crabtree going forward. Crabtree hasn't been the same since coming back from the Achilles and at this point, Stevie is their best receiver by a good margin, IMO.

This OL has been such a flop this year and is the root of all of this team's offensive issues. Injuries are obviously a problem, but Boone and Davis are shells of what they've been the past few years.

OL's a joke. They're shitty.

Given what I've seen this year, I'm pretty okay with them moving on from Harbaugh. Respect for turning a terrible franchise around, but they aren't buying what he's selling anymore. That much is clear. There's talent here, just need a new staff to try to get something out of it. Would hate to see Fangio go, but I'd say "good riddance" to Roman and this offensive staff. Way too much talent to be this bad, particularly on the OL. The OL is a disgrace.

I'd prefer Harbaugh to stay where he is. Otherwise he might strongly consider the scUM position and he's actually the one coach I don't want them hiring.
