I am so glad he has returned from such an ordeal! God's speed to him! I think he will be visualizing the punk that hit him from behind in Florida when he begins to destroy punk U players!:osu:Buckeye86;1760156; said:against spread teams nickel is an every down player

This could be a huge year for him! I think he may catapult himself to the NFL!:osu:BuckeyefromPitt;1760355; said:I agree that he was the best defensive player and I firmly believe that the attitude he brings to the field is contagious. Our defense was flying around and absolutely smacking people all night. This can be a special defense and Tyler seems primed to play a huge part in that.
Buckeyes' Tyler Moeller relishes his return
September, 6, 2010
By Adam Rittenberg
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Before it became certain he would return to football, Ohio State's Tyler Moeller heard the doubters and their questions.
At times, he might have asked the same ones of himself.
"There were all these questions, 'Are you OK?'" Moeller said. "I read all the [online] forums and they're like, 'Moeller's not going to be back. He shouldn't play again.'"
The concerns from Ohio State fans were justified. Moeller suffered a head injury in July 2009 after being attacked by a man at a Florida bar. Moeller was blindsided and hit his head on the ground, suffering bleeding on his brain that required emergency surgery on Aug. 8, 2009, right around the time Ohio State opened preseason camp.
After a strong spring at the star position, a safety-linebacker hybrid, Moeller missed the entire 2009 season, and many wondered if he'd ever suit up for the Buckeyes again. But he was back Thursday night, starting on defense and recording a team-high six tackles, two for loss, with a sack and a forced fumble in Ohio State's 45-7 win against Marshall.
"I feel like I have something to prove out there," Moeller said, "and I think I proved it tonight."

Moeller Big Ten defensive player of the week
By TIM MAY
Tyler Moeller made a big splash in his dramatic return to college football last week. So much so that today he was name the Big Ten defensive player of the week.
The Ohio State senior defensive back led the Buckeyes with six tackles, including a fumble-causing sack and another tackle for loss, along with breaking up a pass in the Buckeyes? 45-7 season-opening win over Marshall on Thursday night. Playing what the OSU coaches call the star, or nickel back position, Moeller roamed the field.
That?s in contrast to this time a year ago when it wasn?t clear whether he?d ever play football again. He had suffered a closed-head injury when, while on vacation with his family in Florida, he was sucker-punched by an assailant at a restaurant bar, falling and striking his head on the floor.
But Moeller gained clearance to work out with the Buckeyes in the spring in all but full contact drills, and in mid-summer he was cleared for full contact. He also passed a precautionary CT scan soon after his first full contact in preseason and was given the ultimate green light to resume his playing career.
He did so with gusto against Marshall, even being awarded the Jack Tatum big hit of the week award by the OSU coaches
