Crap, I forgot to record the game...what did I miss? :)

Sullinger still looking like a man among boys. Sullinger knocking down his first career 3 pointer at the 1st half buzzer. A good ol fashioned ass whooping on South Carolina. And, for the most part, a REALLY fun game to watch.

Does Georgia have a basketball team?

They sure do and true to their SEC pedigree;

In 2002 head coach (Harrick) resigns because his son/assistant coach was busted giving easy grades to basketball players in a class he taught and paying cell phone bills for them to boot.

In 2007 the guy they brought in to clean up the Harrick mess gave them this
The National Collegiate Athletics Association Division I Committee on Infractions on Aug. 5 placed the University of Georgia on probation for four years, retroactive to April 17, 2004, for violations of NCAA bylaws regarding recruiting inducements, unethical conduct, academic fraud and extra benefits in the men?s basketball program

Since then its just the usual secondary violations and player run ins with the law.

1. I'm not going to rag on Gawgia because they have a terrific young coach who I believe will have them routinely in the top half of the SEC, sooner rather than later. Woof's ill-conceived smack talk notwithstanding. He must have got hold of some bad oysters.

2. To all Buckeye fans who have whined that the media "hates the Buckeyes" and "loves the Blue Devils" ... wake up and realize that this season's edition of Buckeye hoop is the flavor of the week, every week, among the pundits. Kind of nice, though it would be nicer still if Jim Tressel could get the accolades he deserves.

3. This is a damn fine basketball team. Maybe the best Matta has had. Could be a very, very special season.

i think buckeye fans who take issue with the media have an issue with how the football, not the basketball, program has been targeted. heck, most would probably agree that the basketball program under matta has been shown in a favorable light.

This is the best OSU team I've seen since I started following Buckeye hoops back in the 80's. These guys are SO much fun to watch.

There were still some empty seats in the house tonight. If you haven't been to a game yet this year, you're really missing out. At $10 a ticket, it's the best deal in town too. Come pack the house with us.

:tibor: Run it up? Hardly. Matta and crew were up by 21 at the half, and eased off the gas early in the second half. OSU could have won that game by 40--that would have been running it up.

As far as how good S. Carolina will be this year, I don't know. But given the sorry state of SEC basketball, I suspect they'll be in the upper tier, behind maybe only UK, Florida and Tennessee.
