When my middle child was accepted to Rutgers, all my Ohio friends were gaga that she was going to an Ivy League school
Amusing the number of Manhattan execs are Rutgers grads

When she was there they were the studs of the Big East
When I'd go to a few games, Buckeye football scores were always on their scoreboard flashes and announcements
I was also amused how many kids wore OSU gear on campus.. 2nd only to Rutgers.. that has changed
She was mortified when they entered B1G... "oh shit, we're going to play Ohio State.. WTF"
