That's a doozy, but he didn't imply that Vandy-Miss. St. has as much pressure as THE GAME in that post. They really should make idiot-proof keyboards.

True, but nothing beats bringing all the ESPN coverage of LSU games then quoting no good football has been played between Michigan or Ohio State in the past 4 or 5 years. There was a countdown clock on the ticker for ESPN, ESPN 2, and ABC (when they were showing college football) for the entire week leading up the the game last year.NFBuck;1035889; said:That's a doozy, but he didn't imply that Vandy-Miss. sluTiger;1035289; said:Actually I am saying they are equal. Auburn/LSU and Florida/LSU are just as important to their fans. LSU/FLORIDA game had 90,000 people in BR outside the stadium without tickets. IT IS A BIG DEAL, seen by the nation, discussed by ESPN until people get sick, and normally has SEC or National Title implications.
OSU and Michigan do not have the exclusive understanding of rivalry in College football... OSU/Michigan is a great game, but there has not been any real good football played in that game for 4 or 5 years. OSU rolls over Michigan, no big deal...

The Game is called The Game for a reason. Look at it like this.. you know how you feel about an SEC Championship - like it's all that matters and a NC is just icing? That's The Game.
I see.. winning 2 of 3 games against the Number 2 team in the nation means Ohio State should have been no better than 5.sluTiger;1035959; said:Based on the results of the year, neither team should have been ranked higher than #5.

More people watched the 2006 meeting of Ohio State & Michigan than have ever watched a single regular season game by ANY TEAM in the SEC.
Ever.

Last year it determined one of the spots in the BCS Championship Game. That might be an important game.sluTiger;1035977; said:you guys are a bit touchy about that game. Seriously, good tradition, great history, just a bit overrated for its importance in recent years...
