What I like about the situation is that they all know RR is a bad hire but they are stuck with him.

To quote myself: The thing I like best about the situation is that he lowered the average IQ at both tsun and WVU in one move.

It is, in my estimation, a fair assumption to give the folks at tsun credit for knowing what they were getting into. I do think that there is a significant elements of two things that lead to his hiring:

1) The tsun job was basically being offered like it was gov't cheese and yet there were no takers. They NEEDED the offers to stop and for SOMEONE to accept the position.

2) After all the initial offers were turned down tsun wanted someone who had a better than random chance at shifting the powerbase back to A^2.

Who, I ask you, would be a better candidate than the $4 Million man? He WANTED the job so there was no risk in offering it to him. Problem one solved. He also is the KING of the spread-O, which I guess it is rumored that tOSU cannot defend. Problem two solved... or so we will see this fall.

Now, for as much credit as I give tsun admin, I have to think that they did guess that there was some chance that the matter of $4,000,000 would come up. In the grand scheme of things $4 million is a drop in the bucket for their boosters. If they wanted to pay it... checks would be written. This is the strange part of the entire story. I don't believe for a second that they would let him swing by his neck over the money... and definately not at the cost of their reputation. There is something going on here that smells bad... and I don't mean like a tsun cheerleader. I do give tsun admin lots of credit, and if I had to guess, they are playing him as previously suggested. Win or else we have good reason to send you packing... and at packing time, a REAL M******* Man will be hired...

One of the principals in the ongoing poop-fight over Rich Rodriguez?s contract buyout, Mike Garrison, is resigning as the president of West Virginia University. In addition to earning the enmity of football boosters by (in their eyes, at least) dicking around DickRod, he also handed out an MBA to the governor?s daughter. This would have been just fine if she?d taken the coursework and passed all the classes, which inconveniently for Garrison, she had not.

Mike Brown was known as the "Waterboy" who advertised success in picking college and pro football games. Brown claims he was only doing a friend a favor and was not betting games himself. Apparently he regularly appeared on WKNR.

I am hearing that the "boys", who are lifelong scum fans, at a place called the outpost have turned against RR and are almost converting to being buckeye fans.
Rumor has it that the players are getting fed up AND that some coaches are too.
Also that he is starting to have trouble with some recruits to sign up.

It was told to me that they are shouting "Go Bucks".

Why are they so down on him? He is such a genuine guy. Starting at the 5 minute mark of the linked interview RR talks about his close friend from as far back as his high school days who recently passed away. RR fights through his croc tears to try and justify why he didn't attend the funeral. It's all about RR.

one of these coaches is not like the others,
one of these coaches just doesn't belong,
can you tell which coach is not like the others
by the time I finish my song

It is like the coaches of the past are asking RR, "Where has our winning tradition gone and our integrity?" And RR is pointing South and exclaiming (pouting) those boys in Columbus just up and stole it! It really isn't my fault....."
