Not relevant to your earlier post - which group were you talking about ?
that would be apparent, certainly not anyone who wasn't outrageously speculating or name calling. we have 10 pages of posts and I don't have time or impulse to go thru and pick them out.

ok only about 6 pages today.

I wish I could dismiss this hiring as easily as some of you have...but I can't.

Rodriguez is a damn good coach in my opinion. How that translates in Ann Arbor remains to be seen...
I will agree that he is a good football coach but I also think that it is going to take him a few years of recruiting to get the players that he needs to play in his schemes.

regarding Pryor, although he likes Rodriguez, I feel better about OSU pulling him away from UM/Rodriguez than the WVU/Rodriguez situation....

I see this move as scUM looking for a spread philosophy to "modernize" tsun and try to find a way to beat the Bucks.

Bring it on, scummers!!!!

Go Buckeyes!!!!!

I agree he is a good coach and he'll win his share of games up there once he gets his system going, but he has a history of having mentally soft teams and losing a lot games that really count. He'll certainly make scUM football more interesting, but I don't see it as a huge step forward for their program.

I completely agree that Rodriguez is a fine coach. And frankly, I'm glad to see it. The Great Rivalry doesn't mean nearly so much if one of the rivals is feckless. Lloyd Carr was a good coach who struggled to win against one great coach. That didn't mean Michigan was weak, just that they had a weakness.

Coaching tree type connection - None that I am aware of. He did play for Nehlen who falls in part from the Bo tree, where he was, briefly, the UM QB coach.
