Reset the Book?

My vote is to give everyone 500, not sure on the logistics to this. Maybe setup a vbet where not everyone gets 500, just the people who pay attention .

Well I think Clarity's post solves most of the things. We just wait. Those with a lot of bpCash shoudl keep it IMO.

I have seen suggestions that we should reset the vBook and get everyone back to $500.

So I'm supposed to give up my vCash because a bunch of posters can't manage their vMoney? What is this, a communist board? I got a better idea. There are other ways for them to make vCash. The vChicks can get down on their vKnees................, and the vGuys can pump vGas into my vCar. Don't be looking for some magical "reset button" to bail your ass out.

I could almost certainly figure out a way to tell mysql to adjust any balance less than X, to new total Y. Sure, with my "skill", I'd probably change everyone's username to 'Y' in the process, BUT THERE IS NO "I" IN TEAM!

I'll know more once I get back on the dev forum and monkey around. Right now it's down while Cinnamon gets wiped (just ask Dotty), rebuilt on the software side from the ground up, reborn as hopkins.bryants.net, and that forum is populated back in.

A lot to do before the season starts.

The fact that I only have 103 vCash doesn't influence my decision at all. Really. I actually won all my bets last year, but I donated heavily to the vOrphans.

I'm assuming any pending vBets will still pay out after the switch? If manual work needs to be done to re-place pending bets after the switch, I'll volunteer to help in that. All of my vCash is tied up in pending wagers, and I'm sure several others are in the same boat.
