I hope he set a personal goal of about 650 walks because no one in their right mind is going to pitch to him in this lineup.

The best way to do few interviews is to get injured. Votto makes a lot of money. It is destiny.

Season-ending. Not career-ending. He could fire 8 shots in to a garage. That gets him 30 games. By then, the Reds will be 15-20 games back and they can just rest him for "Gizmo soreness."
Firing handguns in to garages may lead to some interviews though.

Oh but they are. They can end up as a couple bright spots during a bleak season. Then, they cash in and go all Homer Bailey on us. Pure Reds material.
Let us not forget the 2010 MVP season that Votto had. That season is not Reds material. But it gave Votto tons of money and now nobody doubts that he is Reds material as he gets paid all that money to walk and go Gizmo.
There is a plan...and it hates the Reds.

So far in spring training the "pitching and defense first, hitting optional" Reds have given up the 2nd most runs of any team and are top 5 in errors.

It could be worse, the offense first last and only Orioles have given up 109 runs (the most) and are only in the bottom 1/3rd in runs scored
