If Latos performs and they don't puke all over themselves filling LF this is a good trade both ways imo.

Here's the optimist in me; what if Chapman lives up to his promise as a starter in this window that's now open? Cueto, Latos, Chapman (if he's what we hope he can be) would be a pretty damn good big 3.

:lol: If Chapman can be a CONSISTENT SP, I'll be REALLY happy about this deal that was made. The prospect of Latos, Cueto, and Chap could be absolutely deadly.

Not only that but then you have a guy like Mike Leake who becomes your #4 SP who has had 2 very good seasons as a MLB SP already.

The Reds rotation looks very good on paper. The NL central got weaker this off-season also with AP gone, Fielder most likely gone, Braun suspended 50 games. Time to win is now.

Depends if Reds put Chapman as a starter or back to the BP. I know they said the plan is for him to be the starter but that could be all talk. Even if they make him a starter it will take him before he reaches rotation.
