Reds Tidbits (2012 Season)

As long as Cozart comes back healthy, I'm carfully optimistic about the infield. Looks like Phillips wants to retire a Red, and I'd like that.

Its all about pitching. Guess we're fucked.

Pujols to Angels :banger:

Won't make a damn bit of difference to the Reds.

Besides, I'm sure they'll just slide Fat Elvis over to 1B, find some other washed-up dude to take his spot on the OF and manage to get the best two years of that guy's career. They'll come out of this smelling like fucking roses.

Berkman moves to first, Allen Craig starts (came off the bench) in RF and Jay is full time in CF. As much as I like Albert, I to think the Cards will come out smelling like roses. Especially if they can find some middle relievers.

It will certainly help them pitching wise, but losing what is probably the best player in the league and easily the best on their team will hurt them big time. All of a sudden their lineup doesn't scare me at all with the exception of Holliday.

What's the odds of Prince Fielder signing with the Cardinals?

In regards to the Reds, I really felt that Cozart going down was the final nail in the coffin last year.

It was actually nice to get some power output from the SS position.

I think the Cubs get Fielder. I think with Cozart everyday and maybe Alonso in LF and hopefully better starting pitching this team can win the division again.

I've heard the Rangers thrown around quite a bit in regards to Fielder. Makes sense - AL, hitter-friendly ballpark.

Oh, that would be sweet. My buddy is an Angels fan and I'm a Rangers fan (AL team anyway). That would help some of his yelping at me about them getting Wilson and Pooholes.

Joey Votto would be the feature of the NL Central. I LOVE IT!

2 down now.

Pujols is gone. Braun suspended for 50 games, most likely. Who gives a chit about the Pirates. If the Reds cant win the division this year they need to fire everyone and everything and start all over.

but as the division gets weaker they don't do anything to make themselves stronger and go for the kill.

Its just another year of the "plan" being to hope a bunch of guys play better next year than they did the previous year.
