Volquez getting no help behind the plate. 1st pitch strike. 2nd pitch same place, ball. He's getting some Texas League action on his good pitches. Just bad luck. Here's where he has to get better mentally. Shit happens. Forget it and move on.

Yep. Worse case scenario for a guy trying to get his mechanics right and work on his mental game. Changeup is on cruise right now though and he's getting some of those breaking balls for called strikes for a change.

3 runs wins this game yet again I believe. Reds should be able to put up 5 if they dont keep blowing up their own half of the innings.

Pretty funny. I dont think he's had his "typical" bad game though. He has been down in the zone and nibbling all night. Inconsistent ump makes it look a little worse. Even SF's base hits though are drooping hits or squeaking the line.
