That was a strange call by the Giants. He swung with 1 strike, which can be a good call sometimes. Yet the Reds were conceding the sacrifice. No one was charging or even that close. Then they put the bunt back on. It's amazing how many managers in the majors baffle me when it comes to really simple stuff.

My theory on that is 2 part;

1) They are all former players and therefore mostly stupid

2) They get bored and overmanage when they get a chance to actually do something besides sit there and chew.

That would have been the 3rd homerun for Rolen in this series if we were playing at home. He's mashing the ball and barely has anything to show for it. Still a good sign though.
