Reds tidbits (2010 season)

Philly is beatable. We have played them extremely tough this season. We won the series at GABP and lost three games in extras, including back-to-back 1-0 games right before the all-star break. I wonder what the rotation is going to look like for the playoffs. Gotta think Cueto will get the start in Game 1 since Volquez is scheduled to pitch Sunday.

Anything is possible but if the Reds win 1 game against a fully healthy Phillies team with their rotation set I'll be shocked.

and when the padres win that game in about 37 innings I'll be very happy

EDIT
never mind we wouldn't get them anyway, its the Giants we'd want wore out.

The Reds could play the Padres. If the Padres win the next two, Atlanta wins 1, the Padres beat the Giants in the one game playoff, and then the Giants beat the Braves in a 1 game playoff.

Edit: also, if the Braves lose 2, and the Padres win 2, the Padres get the division, and the Reds would face the Padres while the Phillies play the Giants.

Q) If I throw a 200lb scUM fan out of an airplane at 30,000 ft and a 100 lb scUM fan out of a plane at 15,000 ft who hits the ground first?

Hint: It is a trick question

A) It doesn't fucking matter! All that matters is they will both eventually hit the ground.

Reds won today. SD is up 4-0 in the 4th. Atlanta is tied. Things are still interesting...

If SD, SF, and Atlanta all finish tied; SD & SF play and Atlanta gets the WC by default because they have fewer losses than the loser of the 1 game playoff?? I don't know the rule for sure, but this seems correct because a 1 game playoff between SD & SF would be considered a regular season game.

Playoff rotation: Volquez, Arroyo, Cueto. Wood and Bailey in the pen. Hal thinks the FO is worried the Phillies now "have the book" on Wood, and he'd be less effective this time around. Plus Wood did not face Polanco, Ruiz, and others in his almost-perfecto.
