Reds tidbits (2010 season)

Bruce may be bucking for a promotion out of the mail room!

WTF has gotten into him?

Behold the power of Edmonds.

I do think the wrist injury probably set him back a year though. Even after being cleared to play, wrist injuries can take a long time to overcome, if ever.

Imagine how much better he'd be doing if Edmonds had a Fu.

Extend Edmonds now. Best pickup ever even though he cant run anymore. lol

I'd just like to see Jay get up around .285 by the end of the year. He doesnt even have to hit that many homeruns for me to be satisfied with the improvement. Of course, they do help.

Oh yeah, Orlando Cabrera go fishing or something. The Reds are doing fine while you are away.

Great job by Paul Janish.

OK, what the [censored] was that? Did Jay miss the double steal sign, or hit and run or did Janish shit the bed there?

Jay started to run but when Wood didn't go for the bunt he went back to second since no one was there. Trouble with that is that Janish was looking at Bruce and started towards second and couldn't get back to first in time.

That last inning was a little hairy but, how impressive is young Travis Wood? Kids mental game is outstanding and his pitching has been nothing short of inspiring. I love the direction this team is heading.

I agree with Jax also about a guy like Carl Crawford. If Bruce gets his head out and we get a platoon of Stubbs/Heisey going with a pickup like Carl Crawford......... :!

Lets get this sweep tonight and a 3.5 lead and then speculate later. Awesome!!!

He's by far my favorite pitcher to watch when he's on his game, it's incredible how much poise he has for a rookie.

If Edmonds holds the Rosetta Stone to deciphering Jay Bruce, and O-Cab actually is a clubhouse Jedi of team chemistry, then I say sign them both to 10 year contracts as bat boys. Darrin Baker hasn't done squat, though he hasnt gotten trucked at home plate yet, which is an upgrade for him.
