It wasn't word, it was fact. BP said all the right things in the interviews so no big deal I guess but BP is a lollygagger, no doubt about it.

As far as lollygaggers go this would be every goddamn night if I was the Reds manager.

There's no way to look something like that and say that the Reds are honestly trying to get better. Instead of trying to find a way to move anything with age and value for prospects, they're thinking about trading for a unicorn and two gumdrops to be named later.

Assholes probably inquired about Mark Buehrle yesterday too.

No I think they are going after Juan Pierre to complete the unHoly Trinity of C Mac, WT and JP. I mean at this point, why not?

Its kind of like when I used to say they should go get Lima to round out the Milton, Jimmy Haynes, Jimmy Anderson rotation.

If all you give a shit about is people coming to the park to watch then at least be smart about it. People like spectacular trainwrecks more than boring suckitude.

All that said, if Wait Jocketty can pull off a Big Mac type trade I'll stop busting balls. Until then all he's shown me is being too fucking dumb to see the Tavaras fiasco coming a mile away.

CHICAGO (AP)?The Cincinnati Reds have activated shortstop Alex Gonzalez from the 15-day disabled list and optioned infielder Drew Sutton(notes) to Triple-A Louisville.
Gonzalez has been out since June 20 with bone chips in his right elbow, and he underwent surgery to have the chips removed. In 49 games this season, Gonzalez is batting .214 with two home runs and 20 RBIs.
Sutton was 1-for-8 with two RBIs.
Also Friday, the Reds scratched left fielder Laynce Nix(notes) due to a stiff back. Jonny Gomes(notes) replaced him in the lineup for the game against the Chicago Cubs.
