Reds Tidbits (2008 season)

I agree. But if Dunn's going to stick around I feel its almost necessary that he be able to play 1st to help contribute defensively. As long as Dunn hits homeruns though, I guess we're getting what he gives the best.

If we are on the subject of switching positions...

What about Phillips at SS...His arm and defense will play there as will his bat...Valaika could very well be ready next year and he is not suited for SS at the Major league level as well as BPhil is...We could also look at Hairston or Kepp there until Valaika is ready...

Also Rosales is a guy you could put at 2nd to start next season as well...

Just think that him and EE on the left side, other teams are getting many balls thru on that side that shouldn't be getting thru...

The top of our order has been outstanding over the last month and a half. Most of that is Keppinger and Hairston but when Bruce is 1 or 2 he's produced as well. On those nights when our boppers are hitting we put up 10 runs or so and are extremely tough to beat given our pitching this season.

Great outing by Fogg by the way. The guy has been nails since coming back into the rotation. Standing O Josh!

Add em up baby! Well, looks like we dont have to see CoCo tonight!

Get some more, [censored] New York teams!

I love it when the offense can manufacture runs without having using the homeruns...It is just a great sight to see...Not that homeruns are bad, but you can't always depend on them...

I really think that Brantley just hit the main key on the head and that is the maturity of this team...The young guys are really improving and showing us their potential...

They've guaranteed a split against the Mets. That's as good as a win in my book, especially after the way that first game went down. To top it off, the Reds have Volquez going tomorrow, so 3 out of 4 is well within reach.

The next twelve games after tomorrow come against teams that have combined for a .412 win percentage. They've set the table for a nice run and a chance to get above .500 before playing the Brewers and Cubs again.
