Gonna be honest other than Bruce moving up in the lineup to 3 and moving Phillips out of the 4 hole to about the 6 hole I really like this lineup...

The reason for Bruce being down in the lineup is that he is struggling against lefties...

Dusty has finally been doing things as of late that I kinda like...

We have guys that will work the count in this lineup, and make things happen...We had a great scoring oppurtunity in the first by the table setters Hairston and Kepp, but Dunn and Phillips fucked it up...

Maholm grounds out to Phillips.
Wilson infield single up the middle.
Sanchez singles to CF. Wilson to 2nd.
McLouth grounds out to Phillips. Wilson to 3rd, Sanchez to 2nd.
Bay lines out to Dunn

I'll take it a step further and say that I have zero problems with this lineup. Phillips generally kills LHP, and Bruce is struggling a bit, so they are just fine where they are tonight.

Valentin (PH for Bruce) grounds out to 3B.

Griffey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dusty killed us in the 8th trying to have Votto bunt...You know your team...The guy obviously can't bunt...Either put someone in off the bench that can bunt or let him swing away...

We won tho...BTW word is the Phillies were scouting Arroyo the other night...Lets hope they bite and give us something worthwhile...

OK, so I gave up on the game thread stuff after realizing that I was having trouble keeping up while ripping CDs and cooking a fried chicken dinner at the same time. Hell, I didn't even realize the whole time that Michaels was playing for McLouth (although I do believe that FSN screwed up the lineup at the beginning of the game and I just took it from there.)

Nice HR by Griffey - especially after sitting on the bench most of the night. The Pirates continue to kill the Reds with all those junkball throwing lefties. The Pirates get stupid and put a righty in (I know he's the closer) and the Reds make them pay. Double, HR, ballgame.

Now I will change the channel, because if I listen to the words coming out of Dusty Baker's mouth I will lose my buzz from the comeback win.

Griffey is full on ready for the DH role. He tore it up last week as the DH and he came off the bench last night to homer and win it. Its time for him to be thrust into that position and go get a pennant with someone else who can use him.

The lineup last night is the one we should have the best chance of winning with. I do like Bruce in the 3 hole but followed by Dunn, Phillips,Votto and E5. I've never like BP in the 4, like most other people and I dont necessarily care about the R/L/R/L thing that our managers seem to get stuck on. We can make some headway this week if they dont screw this up and give us a chance to knock off the Cubbies to really gain in the division after the All-Star break. Its a huge uphill climb but its not out of the question with our pitching to steal a WC berth at the end.
