Reds Tidbits (2007 Season)

14K at the park, the Reds blow a five run lead, and George Grande is filling dead air by talking about the BlueJackets. It's not a great night to be a Reds fan.

I've really been looking forward to going back to the ballpark tomorrow night, but now, not so much. At least I'll get a free Ryan Freel t-shirt that looks like somebody took a dump on it.

What the hell happened to the bullpen? Can't blame this one on Narron.

Nothing happened to them. They were never any good, the numbers are just adjusting themselves.

Nice to send 3 guys up in the bottom of the 9th who have about as good a chance to get a hit as any 3 of us do.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not as delusional as some. I just can't believe they all melted down already. I figured they'd hold out until at least mid May before they started this nonsense. It's not just the Reds. I've started 5 guys on my fantasy team in the last 36 hours, none have given up more than 2 runs, none got a W or an L, the bull pen blew it for everyone (Harang, Arroyo, Webb, Bonderman, and Halladay). I also saw that Borowski looked at the name on the back of his shirt and remembered who he was today. Unfortunately, I don't think Narron is on the hot seat with management yet.

Man I thought the bullpen was going to be pretty good...But it is shit like this where they fall flat on their face that kills us year in and year out...

Give me Burton, Majewski, Bray when healthy with Coffey, Sarloos, Countlagus, and add in Livingston, Bailey, Salmon all by the end of the year, let these guys take their lumps if need be and get them ready for next year...

Not giving up on the season, but if they old crafty vets can't get it done, we might as well get the young guys some experience...

Holy.... WTF!!!

I turned it off to go to work and just checked back in to the final score. If I were Bronson Arroyo I'd ask for a trade. This guy gets absolutely no help from this team and has the worst luck I've ever seen. I don't know what else to say.....I'm in shock....geesh. Man. WTF??

You guys watching the game Hopper comes in for Dunn, right? What inning the 8th?

Completely unparalleled in the history of the game.

If he can keep his demons in check this kids talent is off the charts. Most raw talent I have seen since Bo Jackson.....and Hamilton has 10x the plate discipline. Amazing.

Some press for Mr. Hamiliton... link

the soon to turn 26 year old is on pace to hit 100 homeruns this season (when projected out over 600 earned at bats).

No kidding, I'd take the Reds of the past few years that look great for the first few months and then fall over this shit. Two "5-run innings" in the past two games in support of our top two picthers. Why can't this shit happen when Uncle Milty is pitching and has already blown the game?

They're not as good as the first 8 games, but I don't think they're as bad as the last 8 games either. Their true ability is somewhere in between.

Yeah I know, I just thought we were passed these giving up 6 runs in 2 inning type outings...

Hopefully these are few and far between, but it sucks when they come on back to back nights...
