I think RedsZone is just full of contrarians. There was ceaseless bitching (justified, IMO) about all of the STUPID things he did, but now the consensus seems to be that this was an unnecessary move.

I don't think that it's gonna do anything for this season, but it's gonna help with subsequent seasons. Hopefully now when I go to the ballpark the rest of this season I won't have to endure seeing the likes of Juan Castro.

the best part of living in columbus is getting both reds and indians games.....that being said, i did get a laugh out of watching Narron manage.....he made some pretty incredibly bad moves on a consistent basis....i'm shocked he lasted this long

Agreed. All everyone did was bitch about Narron, and now that he is gone there's a ho hum attitude.

Good riddance to an incompetent ass-clown! Quite the "Welcome Home!" gift!

My celebration is somewhat tempered by the question of, "What the holy-hell took so frigin' long!?" The fact that it took 82 games for this to happen is indicative of the level of competence of Narron's superiors.

Since taking 2 of 3 from the Indians June 8-10, the Reds have lost 6 sdtraight series 2 games to 1. (And you fellas bitch that they aren't consistent!) This team isn't in the midst of a bad stretch that has resulted in the worst record in MLB. They are just this consistently bad. :shake:

I'm looking forward to the Reds finally using a lineup 1-8 that's the same nearly every night. Set the batting order, then change it ONLY to rest somebody, if there's an injury, or to platoon Conine at 1B. That's it.

I'm just glad they have a true "interim" manager and not some stiff that they give 2 year contract to. The future of this team does rest on what transpires over the next 6 months. Get a plan, assess the needs, fill the needs, and hire someone with the same vision and not another micro-managing fuck tard.

Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I just hope that we continue to suck so we end up with the worst record in baseball...That gives us the #1 draft pick and hopefully a stud ace type prospect...

That prospect to go along with Harang, Arroyo, Bailey, Belisle, Cueto and whoever else we have some great arms to make a starting staff...

Maybe move guys like Dumatrait, Livingston to the pen, to go along with the young arms in Salmon, Coutlangus, McBeth, Coffey, Bray, Medlock and I think we could be on to something...

I would just love a true closer to finish games with and then I think our staff would be looking up...
