Curtis Samuel reminds me of Michael Wiley. They are the same size - Samuel is listed at 5' 11", 200 lbs, and Wiley at 5' 11", 203 lbs - and both are known for speed more than power.
Wiley was not the prototypical tailback, but he rushed for 2,951 yards (11th best at Ohio State), with 5.8 ypc and 27 TDs during his Buckeye career, including 1,235 yards in 1998 (19th best at Ohio State). I see no reason why Samuel couldn't have similar success going forward as the lead tailback.
