RB/WR Curtis Samuel (Buffalo Bills)

Still love all the Buckeyes though just think a little ridiculous to say he got basically 1month to take 3players position and he never played it before
I get what you're saying and I somewhat agree. I don't think Braxton would be a clear cut starter at the HB if not at QB. I think because of so much depth at so many offensive positions, that there will be a lot of rotations. And you make a great point, in that no one should assume that Braxton will just pick up a new position immediately. I see Samuel getting a lot of reps at RB and HB, as there will be a number of games that EzE will sit due to blowouts, IMO giving Samuel reps at RB. I could also see Samuel spelling Marshall when Marshall goes outside and giving Wilson a rest and possibly being a KR. Skies the limit for young Curtis

With all the playmakers from the '15 NC run getting attention and now Brax moving to H grabbing all the headlines it's easy to forget CS. I realize it's a bold statement but I can see him being one of the top threats at the end of the '16 campaign. This kid is about to blow up.

It's crazy how every bit of news overshadows Samuel. News about Miller switching to HB automatically jumped him over Samuel in basically everyone's minds, but I don't see it. I even think head to on speed, agility and moves, I'd give Samuel the nod. Was everyone watching the spring game where Samuel was lined up in the H and had 5 yards separation on the guy covering him and Cardale missed him like 4 times. Braxton is going to be learning a new position and hasn't taken hits so well, plus we don't even know what kind of a blocker he is or how his shoulder will handle all this. Samuel has received constant rave reviews from Meyer and Alford on his work ethic, quick twitch fibers and toughness.

I disagree. Samuel has better speed and accerlation, but Braxton is the shiftiest player I've ever seen since Vick.

Different player than Brax. I certainly wouldn't say he's got more speed or moves. I'm just not a believer that CS will be held back regardless who else is on the roster. The dude just looks incredible. Anyone see the prank videos of the 'mannequin' on 11W and see him with his shirt off? He "looks" the closest to Percy we have had on the roster under Urbs but I doubt he's that strong. Kid is elite in my mind and it doesn't matter that we have other studs, he will get his. By the end of the year he might very well be our most electric playmaker.

UFM said during his BTN interview that Braxton has the fastest acceleration he's ever seen, and Braxton was barely edged out by Zeke in the Fastest Buckeye competition, so wrong on both counts...

My buddy in NYC(for the Brooklyn Renegades) is a peewee football coach and actually coached Samuel and is still friends with the family. He told me before the suspensions that Samuel would be a starter and I laughed him off, but he said his dad said that Urban has had some serious convos with him about stepping up and he has hit the weight room hard this off season. There will be a lot of fan talk about Miller, but Samuel has had a little more time working in the HB, at the end of the day they will both be rotating at HB against Va Tech

He said Braxton had the fastest first step, doesn't necessarily mean he has the fastest acceleration. But you could still be correct regarding their respective acceleration.

However, watching Braxton and Samuel on film, I believe Samuel has higher top end speed. Remember that play a few years ago when a Nebraska DB caught up to Braxton from behind when it appeared Braxton had a clear path to the end zone?

If he had elite top end speed, there would be no way anyone would have caught up.

Don't recall, but it could've been the angle. I do know that Samuel has a 4.36 40, and Miller a 4.32.

And Gonzalez beat Teddy in foot races. Football is played in pads, where Ted is dwarfed by no one.

As for Braxton, his quickness is devastating. His top end speed is very good but not elite imo.

No disagreement here. What I am challenging is the statement that Samuel has better speed and acceleration than Miller. I'll go by what Meyer said about acceleration, and I haven't seen Samuel bust a long enough run on the field yet to make me think he's any faster in uniform than Miller.
