I really want to see Samuel break a big one to truly gauge his open field speed. It's crazy to think that samuel appeared to do ok this game and he still had 100 yds on 15 carries. I thought he was around 70-80 yds. It really shows you how much ground he gains when he gets a crease.

That yardage after initial contact makes for some deceiving stats. He gets 2-3 extra yds EVERY touch.

I feel they're using Samuel wrong..He has 4.36 speed and they use him up the middle on most of his touches..When he get swing passes etc he easily gets 8yards..Get him in space like u do with dontre/Marshall..Try him at KR..No excuse for the fumble at all but use your players correct..His HS film clearly shows he Neva been a true RB

I agree he could be utilized differently when they try to involve him and one fumble does not change any expectations I have for him moving forward. That being said, touches in that role will be tough to come by in bulk considering Dontre, Jalin, and to some extent EzE are all excelling there. In any event, I think the coaches will sit down and figure out how to integrate Samuel better with our offense.

I don't think he needs to be outside. Yes, he COULD be outside, but he's a tough runner and can be used as a solid RB.

He had been excellent as a true tailback until the fumble. Rod Smith also had fumble problems big time as a frosh, but now he handles the ball well. I think being kept out of the game for a while after his fumble got his attention...
