Any Buckeye recruiting nerd (like myself) will tell you that your impression is, well, wrong. None of them are Ted Ginn, but who is? The bottom line is that no team in the country would want to put your assumption/impression to the test against Devin Smith, Corey Smith, Dontre Wilson, Jalin Marshall, Curtis Samuel, Zeke Elliott, etc.

To be fair, 7 of Barrett's 24 "carries" were sacks. But your point still stands... playmakers can't make plays if they don't have the ball and only 13 carries between Elliot and Samuel won't win many games.

I didn't see the breakaway speed or receivers getting much separation, other than the long pass play to Devin Smith. Could be, and likely is, attributed to poor route running, but I haven't seen the crazy speed everyone has raved about all preseason.

How can u see break away speed if the line isn't holding up? NFL running backs wouldn't have made a huge difference in that game if it's 5ppl in the backfield every play

Curtis Samuel 12carries 71yards 5.9ypc and Ezekiel Elliot 20carries for 76yards 3.8ypc....If he had 20carries he will clearly be over 100yards

And at the end of the day Curtis is really a H back who they brought in to learn the running back position first and he excelled at it they kept him there..He should be where dontre is watch his HS film.
