RB Warren Ball, 6-2, 200, Columbus DeSales: Ball was also an early commit, pledging Sept. 1, the first day official offers could go out. The four-star back said he has no plans to renege on his pledge.

?I?m surprised and very shocked but Ohio State is my dream school that I?ve always wanted to go to, so as far as a commitment standpoint nothing has changed,? he said. ?I?m still committed to Ohio State.?

In the wake of the scandal with Kentucky basketball in the late 1980s, there were four players who stayed amid some the most severe sanctions ever received by a collegiate basketball program. They suffered through a 14-14 season, two years of postseason bans and then ultimately helped to lead the program back to prominence in the early 90s. These players were Richie Farmer, Sean Woods, John Pelphrey and Deron Feldhaus. The Unforgetables.

That's how I will view guys like Warren Ball, who grew up in central Ohio dreaming of becoming Buckeyes and then saw their dreams come to fruition. When times were tough and everyone was beating on the program like a pinata, they stayed true. And in the end, I hope Buckeye Nation will look at them with the same reverence as those Kentucky players. Thank you Warren Ball.

I was thinking this same thing when I heard about Kalis. That's why they need to concentrate on kids that really want to be Buckeyes in this class. Passion can take you a long way.

Agree. Even if short on talent, this will be a special class that we should celebrate.

That second run was absolutely amazing. First off, UA had 8 guys in the box. He also went through 4 levels of defense to reach pay dirt. Just fantastic stuff.

He doesn't look big, but he can shake and break tackles, has great athleticism and explosion, cut on a dime, has great vision in the hole, and has some serious wheels. Looks like a rich man's Dan Herron at the same point in his career. Ingram is a good style comparison, for sure.

If he can keep healthy, he could be really something. He's got the whole package. Just imagining a future backfield trio with him, Rod Smith, and Brionte Dunn...
