RB Warren Ball (transfer to Akron)

Check out his TheRinger.com player profile. Each profile includes the standard player info (measurements, interest, offers, etc.). In addition, each profile has some features unlike anything provided by the network sites:
  1. a timeline listing visits & camps
  2. a facts section listing achievements & trivia
  3. a Buzz section looking at what school he may choose (a little late in this case :)).

Dudes a brute. Sucks that the other team knows that they are going to run the ball most of the time, because every time he touches the ball, there are about 4 or 5 guys around him. Just shows you how much skill he has to get away from most of them most of the time.

Just ran across this video on ScoutingOhio.

I can honestly say that is one of the most impressive junior highlight films I've ever seen. I know he's playing for Div. 2 Desales, but in my opinion, that film is on par with junior year highlight reels I've seen of Chris Wells and Maurice Clarett. And I don't say that lightly.

I cannot believe how much Warren progressed from his sophomore to junior years. He's got the whole package.

Adrian Peterson?

:paranoid:
He does remind ya of Peterson from the size and running style. Love how he keeps his feet moving through contact.

So when he and Brionte get here, we will have an Eddie (Rod Smith), a Beanie (Brionte), and a Peterson (Warren) all on the same roster. HAHA I can dig it...Seriously, if any of the three turn out to be as good as their comparisons, i'll be a happy man.....

Scouting: 2012 TB Warren Ball
TheRinger.com - By Smith - 3/17/2011

Projecting his potential for success at the college level is only clouded by the questions already raised. In truth, the durability question is the only real concern here. Regardless of whether he picks up the finer points needed to excel as an every down running back or not, Ball has freakish athletic abilities that will allow him to shine in many other ways. Ohio State fans familiar with how a player like Brandon Saine was utilized over the last 4 years should expect a similar plan for Ball. His ability to create matchup problems as a rusher, receiver, and kick returner should allow the coaches to find a role for him early in his career. Depending on how he develops, Ball could become a nationally regarded utility offensive player along the lines of a Percy Harvin or a true tailback who is skilled enough to split out wide on occasion. Neither scenario would surprise us.
