RB Warren Ball (transfer to Akron)

Watterson had DeSales down 17 at the half and the Stallions almost completely abandoned the run. I think I saw Ball get two total carries in the second half.

Junior running back Warren Ball, an Ohio State recruit, battled injuries most of the season but still scored 12 touchdowns in eight games.

Junior running back Warren Ball battled injuries most of the season and rushed for 634 yards and 12 touchdowns in eight games. An Ohio State-recruit who was honorable mention all-district, Ball likely will take on an even bigger role in the offense next fall.

Love this kid. Runs with power and determination with good shiftiness between the tackles. Good speed for his size but lacks elite breakaway speed and acceleration. Would like to see him improve his pad level while running in between the tackles and lowering his shoulder. Other than that he looks college ready. Great get.

First thing I noticed is his great cutting ability. Kid has that little shake and bake. Not that fast at first but his top gear is very good, he can separate to break long runs. Vision is exceptional. You see the play at 2:24 of the video, he sees the hole and he hits it instantly. Powerful lower body and legs that don't stop. He dips his shoulder on contact to absorb the blow.

Dude is good. Better than Dunn in my opinion (from what I've seen).

And based on stats, I was expecting worse. Can't look at stats to decide how good this kid is...
