RB Maurice Wells (Official Thread)

HH stated on Bucknuts that OSU fans "should go to sleep at night feeling good about" these two recruits (see below). Sounds pretty positive to me Wooohooo .. cross your fingers.

I agree bucknuts!

The kid looks tough and has speed to burn. Haw, Pittman, and Wells with Troy Smith slinging the rock. Who's going to be able to keep up with that?

Everyone is talking about bringing in a big back, but Haw is 210 lbs. OSU might be in trouble if he goes down, but Wells looks tough enough to handle the load along with Pittman!! Pittman will probably be 200 lbs by the time the season gets here!! These kids are young and still growing!!

The guy looks like he's all business. We need someone ready to come in here with the right attitude and contribute, like Adrian Peterson and scUM's wonder midget, and Wells could be that guy. As much as I'm a fan of bigger backs for their blocking, I think with the Smith shotgun single wing whatever the hell it is offense we're running, that a quick back who can make cuts, read holes and get outside can do some real damage. Pittman got some mad YPC this year, and Wells looks to be even more talented.

Any updates on Wells?

He has a visit scheduled with Georgia Tech and will announce his final decision at the AA game. Not sure how many more updates there will be until then. As HH has pointed out the Buckeyes appear to be in pretty good shape.

USC Rivals premium

USC hasn't called very much lately and according Mo it is probably too late for them to get back in the mix. MoW confirmed again it is between tOSU and GTech.

He says that he will likely make his decision shortly after this weekend's visit to GTech.

not sure if that means he will now announce before the AA game Jan. 15th??
