RB Maurice Wells (Official Thread)

It's still currently available to non-premium people. Sounds pretty positive for us.

I didn't realize that he had led the state of Florida in rushing with 3,076 yards and 31 TDs. Pretty impressive stuff.

Apparently the poster making the claim on BN has had some inside info that he reported before which came to fruition, such as the Kerr situation.

While I cannot validate that poster's credibility, I can say that I came across a tidbit. I am originally from the Y-Town area. There are a few members of JT's staff that are from that area as well. Over Turkey day weekend, one of them was asked about pittman being the man next year. The response was that it will depend on how the rb recruits look coming in, especially if a certain player from florida could be an every down back.

Mods, if you wish to PM me to verify my source please do, but I can't reveal it here.

I can't seem to shake this feeling about Wells. Fumble problems, big yards in Florida prep play, highly rated recruit...hmmmmm...that sounds familiar....can't put my finRossger on it....
damn. thats the biggest insult i can imagine for a RB recruit. I thought we were supposed to be nice to these guys on the recruiting boards

but seriously, whats up with all the negativety on the recruiting board lately?

Wow. That is a little harsh.

I don't think that Ross ever possessed the ability of a Maurice Wells.

Fumbling is correctable with the proper coaching. Look at Tiki Barber of the NY Giants. That guy couldn't hold onto the ball to save his life last season. The coaches adjusted the way that he holds the ball while running and now he's having a great season.

I'm not sure that it's fair or accurate to profile Mo Wells like that. He's going to be OSU's answer to Reggie Bush!!!

If I remember correctly, Wells fumblilitis is a recent thing, I thought i read somewhere he fumble only 2 times his entire junior year.
In regards to Ross, he was never very highly rated, and even HH said he was suprised when tOSU offered him.

Ross was considered one of the best backs nationally in his high school class.

The Buckeyes beat scUM and people need something else to bitch about, apparently. Neither Clarity or myself are going to put up with a lot of crap on this recruiting board. People can whine and talk negatively about recruits on Mr. Bucknuts' site, where that stuff is apparently acceptable.

We'd be lucky to land Mo Wells.

Maurice Wells is the one guy that I want more than anyone left on the board.

Like I said, OSU's version of Reggie Bush if the coaches use him correctly. This kid is a special running back.

Lucky to land him is right, Nutty!

This kid sounds like the real deal, but to annoint him the caliber of Reggie Bush is a huge step. Bush is damn good, and I mean really damn good. If Wells decides to play at OSU and gives us 90% of what Bush gives USC, we'll be a very lethal offense.

I would love to see Wells in an OSU uniform.
