RB Maurice Wells (Official Thread)

Bnuts premium

Wells predicted that tOSU would win but was off on the score (he thought they would win 28-0). He was impressed with their play.

Donte Whitner is his host and he is hanging out with Taz and Hodge.

He says Taz keeps talking like he already committed. He said that Taz already seems to love Ohio State. (way to go Taz!!)

They told him they want him as a feature back and they will take two backs this year. He says things are looking real positive.

He rates the visit "A ten out of ten" He sees how he could really fit in.

He still will visit GTech on the 17th.

I don't want to be the downer in this thread, I really don't.

But in the past three years there have been any number of kids who have had a "10 out of 10" on a visit and gone elsewhere. In particular there have been any number of kids from the South who have been all the way down in the bottom of the OSU bag with just one more visit to a sleeper school - also in the South - and whoops!

Wells looks real good for OSU. But I will keep the cork on the champaign for now.

Oh8ch,
I'm with you.

Once I see an update on signing day that these guys have signed their LOI, then I'll be happier than happy.

Until then, there have been waaayyy too many "locks" that have pissed me off come signing day.

He had a great visit, more than he expected. He was impressed that no one left in the 4th qtr. even though we had a big lead.

He got along well with his host, Donte Whitner and thinks they would be friends if he chooses tOSU.

The coaches appear to have done a good job assuring MoW that his size was not an issue. He was not aware that Pittman is about the same size and MoW is convinced he would be utilized effectively in the Buckeye system. The coaches told him that they would take one big and one small back this year.
He said tOSU has always been near the top for him but this visit might have put them over the top.

Note: So it sounds like if MoW commits (fills the one small back quota), Ringer could be out unless he gray shirts.

MoW will announce at the AA game. Could Gwaltney and Wells both commit to tOSU at the AA game??
