RB Maurice Clarett (B1G Freshman of the Year, National Champion)

I was honestly shocked that ESPN (ESPN.com) even acknowledged the interview, since it took place on "The Dan Patrick Show" and ESPN has banned all its employees from appearing on the show.

Then I realized that it was Maurice Clarett and everything Clarett says somehow gets on ESPN.com.

The only difference is, I guess, today's appearance on ESPN.com is justified.

Possessing US Currency is not a crime.

True, but with $30,000 in cash he would need to be able to justify not having filed a Form 8300 with the IRS. It's possible, of course, but you need the paper trail/documentation.

I guess at least he's defending coach Tressel.

But I don't know if he incriminating Ohio State or the Central Ohio community or not.

He defended Tressel and the University, acknowledging the reality that there is no way to know what players are doing 24/7 and there are people in the community who don't care about NCAA rules.

In one sense, PoSU has an advantage over tOSU in that they are located in a small town. The size of Columbus provides more opportunities for trouble and more people trying to get something from a player.

Ultimately, you need players you can trust to do the right thing when no one is looking. Short of that, sooner or later you're going to have a problem.

Precisely the point - sooner or later, with the number of kids and the temptations that present themselves, you're going to have a problem.

What got us in hot water this deep is how we dealt with the problem. That's on the adults, not the kids.

I'd say MoC redeemed himself with that interview. Kind of fitting that somebody is right there to take his place.

No doubt. I have always hoped that MC would find himself as he grew up. Seems like he is growing quite a bit. Glad to see that.

But like you said, the revolving door for Buckeyes who have fallen from grace keeps spinning as a new one enters the room.

Gone Too Soon (Part 1)

The title is so fitting when it comes to describing what took place at OSU this past year. Careers didn't evolve like most people would have liked to see and a lot of hate and blame got passed around. Everyone expressed their personal feelings about what went on and the media had a field day with it all. It was said that Terrell was a greedy, spoiled kid who ruined the program and then they claimed that Coach Tress was a fraud. Now I can't make anyone believe anything they don't want to, but I'll say based on my interactions with both that neither statement is accurate.

Throughout my 27 short years on Earth I've come to realize that all information has to be put in its proper context to be assessed accurately. It?s the only way that actions can be understood and all parties involved have a fair light to be viewed up under.

Now let's be honest. How many of us who are reading this article understand what it?s like to have an abundance of power on a daily basis? How many of us understand what it feels like for no one to ever say no us? How many know what it feels like to be living a dream so many wish they could live? How many people know what it feels like to be responsible for such a rich tradition, yet have no idea of how to navigate it all? How many people know what it feels like for 100,000 people to scream their name every week? The moment can become intoxicating and overwhelming at times.
