Maybe he's a guy trying to get his life back together and any shot at using his greatest and expiring skill, football, is more important than the incredibly selfish comfort you take in his lack of visibility? :shake:

Selfish? Slow down turbo...I think Moc and Mr. Such and Such just might be selfish....dude you don't me and I don't know you so easy up the incredibly selfish internet pile on stuff.

Did you read all my post in this thread.? :roll2:

If not I'll quickly summarize it for you: Glad not in a cage, best of luck to him in life, hope he gets degree...... UFL try-out looks like a bigger clown.

And for the record for an insider/great buckeye camera guy that you are ( Love the pics)I'm surprised you were not aware dudes shoulder is Finished!!! That is why he tried to jump to the pros early. Was completely shocked Denver drafted him with his condition. Unless a miracle happened to his jacked shoulder in the joint his greatest skill expired his frosh year in Columbus.....hear that sh.t from Mr. Such and Such....:pimp:

Yeah right........I'm the idiot...Because I haven't been to jail?

Sorry never been to jail and never will.

Name calling strangers makes you better? You just want to pile on with the masses on this board and I simple posted my opinion. If you disagree that is fine but trying to be a board homer is pathetic. Not everything that people post around this board I see the same way. However, I think I can control myself from attacking folks personally. You may call me names but a least I'm not a spineless jellyfish pussy that piles on folks like you are doing here.

I'm certain that many other people besides me are tired of the board homers that don't have much to offer anyway.

My point is this whole story is idiotic.

Your comments are...crappy. And the story isn't idiotic. Clarett is simply trying to do something he loves. There's absolutely no harm in what he's doing or someone reporting on it.

Yeah, we all get it that Clarett made some HUGE mistakes, but if he's changed his life, he deserves a chance to live it...and if someone wants to report on it, no big deal.

Don't state something as fact when it isn't fact at all. Clarett's shoulder is not "FINISHED!!!". He had a stinger for much of his freshman year. It was scrutinized heavily during the combine. He had a tweaked groin among other personal problems while in Denver.

The guy messed up bad, paid his time, and now has the support of the man he once tried to bury. If Jim Tressel is willing to give a personal endorsement to a judge in Ohio, I'm not sure why you're so anti-UFL league.

Your opinion on this whole subject has been ridiculous throughout, added with facts that aren't facts at all. Maurice didn't try to jump to the pros early b/c of a bum shoulder...He tried to jump b/c he was suspended for his sophmore season. And if his bum shoulder was/is as bad as you say, you don't think NFL teams would notice it when they make the players take MRI's and X-Rays at the combine?? LOL. He'd have been idiot to declare for the NFL with a jacked shoulder. But alas, the NFL deemed him healthy, although overweight, and saw no damage to his shoulder. Making your statement a ridiculous claim, made even more ridiculous by putting it in BOLD, and spewing it as fact.

That's all.

You're certainly entitled to express your opinion, and to disagree with others.

And I understand that being called an idiot can get somebody riled up. But to complain about name-calling, and say that you think you can control yourself 'from attacking folks personally', and then use the term 'spineless jellyfish pussy' in the next sentence was simply laughable.

If you think you have info on MoC's shoulder that others should be aware of, you can state what you're basing that on without revealing the identity of the source. Otherwise, placing something in bold letters and using exclamation points doesn't make it any more factual.

And people on both sides need to stop the name-calling.

Again fair enough and I apologize for the spineless jellyfish pussy comment...you are right that was unnecessary.

As far as Clarett's shoulder it is impossible to share the full details and where it came from for many reasons, mainly legal. (HIPAA) However, I stand by everything I wrote. To this day I am shocked as were several insiders that he made it through, not the NFL medical examiners but Denver's.

serious question here:

Was MoC ever ruled ineligible by the NCAA for illegal benefits or did OSU suspend him in '03 during the investigation to ensure we wouldn't have to forfeit games if he was found to have received illegal benefits. Then he sued the NFL and hired an agent so he couldn't come back in '04.

Several articles have quoted that he was ruled ineligible by the NCAA which I am not sure was the case. I was so frustrated by the whole Moc saga that I eventually tuned out and i dont really recall exaclty what the final outcome was.

The Longest Yard is a good movie. So good that both Adam Sandler and Burt Reynolds starred in different versions of it. The story is a classic story of the underdog seeking redemption. Paul Crewe looks like he is going to be a star in the NFL but he goes to prison instead. While in prison he introspects and corrects his personal flaws that put him behind bars to begin with. He plays football again in a minor league game and gets noticed by the NFL scouts. The MC saga has all the elements in place and I am hoping for a happy ending. It is a good story. If MC can sieze the moment - great. If he can't because of age, conditioning, shoulder or something like that then at least he took his shot. Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure then to take rank with the poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in a grey twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat.

(hope he can speak softly and carry a big stick too)

So what if trying out for the UFL makes him into a clown? As far as I can tell, Clarett has two demonstrable qualities: the ability to tote the rock and the ability to be a headline-grabbing sideshow. Dude has to make some money somehow, and he sure as [censored] isn't going to get a job as a paralegal or a bank teller any time soon. As far as sideshows go, people who live in fear of Clarett headlines should be glad this is the extent of it at the moment.

He was suspended by tOSU for the entire 2003 season for numerous NCAA violations, the majority of which were lying to tOSU and NCAA investigators.

His trouble started after he reported that his car was broken into and had items stolen - his overstatement of the value of the stolen items resulted in the charge of filing a false police report. That caused an investigation to begin, and his failure to tell the truth during that process was his ultiimate undoing. Prior to the violations related to lying, it was generally thought that the improper benefits issue would result in a penalty of 4-6 games at the start of the 2003 season.

WKYC

Geiger said Clarett was guilty of 14 violations of the ethical-conduct bylaw and two violations of receiving preferential treatment or benefits because he is an athlete.

Geiger said Clarett would be required to make a donation to a charity of his choice equal to the amount he received in benefits.

According to NCAA protocol, each set of violations on their own would lead to a suspension of at least half a season, Geiger said.

The ethical conduct bylaw is NCAA Bylaw 10, which deals with not lying to NCAA investigators.
