RB Jaamal Berry (Transfer to Murray State)

Hall has been told that's going to be used in a lamaar thomas fashion, not as a pure rb. therefore, it shouldn't be an issue.

That and Berry and Hyde have repeatedly said that having 2 RB's doesn't concern them. I know things can changes, but the staff has sold the power/speed back tandem the entire time.

If Ohio State really wants a third running back in the class they are better off having the third wait until the last day so he doesn't turn off the other two.

If Berry commits after Hall and Hyde have faxed, everyone is in.

The only downside is one or two might transfer in two years when they aren't in the rotation.
I'm not buying that. Hall & Hyde are very aware of Berry, and Berry has said he's not scared of coming to Ohio State because each one of those guys provides something COMPLETELY different to the mix. The coaching staff will use those abilites to make something beautiful when added to this offense.

Besides, Berry has everything it takes to be a STUD at the next level. Whenever he's 100% sure he wants to come to your school, you accept his verbal committment without hesitiation.

Bottom line: There's always going to be competition at Ohio State, especally at RB. If you're scared to compete for a starting position, then you are looking at the wrong school.

I don't buy into the notion that one might decommit, but I completely buy into the notion that one might xfer. We have seen a fair amount of xfers because of talent backlogs. No reason for me to think that wouldn't continue.

I'm sure this is true, but it is a pretty good compliment to OSU's recruiting ability and the perception of JT as an honest recruiter when you can convince a kid that he'll have a unique roll in the offense by telling him he'll fill the roll of an OSU player (Thomas) that has yet to set foot on the gird iron!
