Absolutely LOVE the Beannie....and I'd love to see him come back for that one full season in top form...and possibly collect a NC & a statue. But with the probable/potential for a rookie cap coming in the '10 draft, (I believe), understandably, he's gotta do the right thing for his peeps. Hope he & the boys up front can put a real beat down on our bowl foe.

Random thoughts on a football Saturday - CBSSports.com

Either Beanie Wells is injured or he's turning into Franco Harris. I'm not talking about the Franco who led the Steelers to Super Bowls. I'm talking about the Franco who became famous for stepping out of bounds rather than accept punishment from, or deal out punishment to, defenders.

Wells broke for a long run to midfield in the second half and clearly cut his run short and stepped out of bounds rather than lower a shoulder. Wells could have picked up another five yards, instead he did an out route out of bounds.

That's the not first time I've seen him do that. Wells did leave the game later because of hamstring problems. It will be interesting to see what Wells does after this season because his junior season has been somewhat of a disappointment.

Fucking moron.

I dunno if its just me but Beanie (although hurt) looks a ton faster this year than the previous couple years but thats just going based on those tapes posted above!

Hopefully we see one more breakaway outta beanie!

His burst and speed was incredible on that 43 yard TD run against YSU. That's really the only glimpse we ever got to see of it. He'll never get enough credit for his speed because he was never healthy.

I'd love to see Wells come back for next year. He could have a great year and it would make the offense very very good. That being said, Wells needs to do what he needs to do. Whatever his decision I wish him the best. In my mind he is one of the top 3-4 RBs in OSU history. Just wish he could've played healthy and had 1,800 yds and a Heisman to finish out an outstanding career.
