RB Chris "Beanie" Wells (All B1G, All-American)

It was just more tightness in his sore hamstring nothing serious. They just sat him out because we were whippin that ass.

Cool, I figured it wasn't much because there hasn't been alot of word about it. As much as I hated to see Beanie come out, it was nice to watch a possible passing of the torch to Boom. It'll be nice to watch Beanie in a warm weather bowl game, tearin it up.

Either Beanie Wells is injured or he's turning into Franco Harris. I'm not talking about the Franco who led the Steelers to Super Bowls. I'm talking about the Franco who became famous for stepping out of bounds rather than accept punishment from, or deal out punishment to, defenders.
Wells broke for a long run to midfield in the second half and clearly cut his run short and stepped out of bounds rather than lower a shoulder. Wells could have picked up another five yards, instead he did an out route out of bounds.
That's the not first time I've seen him do that. Wells did leave the game later because of hamstring problems. It will be interesting to see what Wells does after this season because his junior season has been somewhat of a disappointment.

Fucking moron.

No just typical lazy journalism. I think it is one of the very few times I think he has done that.

I am sure someone has a nice montage of Beanie and his stiff arm of death out there to email to Dennis Dodd, but he would probably duck the issue and not reply.

Regarding coming back, I made a post in another thread (should have been this one, but it was part of another conversation) about Beanie being "The Man" and doing what is right by his family, etc. So I didn't expect him to come back.

Another item was brought receintly, how does the expiration of the current NFL collective barganing agreement affect this years juniors? Does the current agreement expire at the end of the next NFL season (2009)? If they came to an agreement, does it take effect in 2010 or 2011? If it's 2010, any junior able to sniff the first few rounds would be stupid not to come out now. Waiting could cost them millions if there is an (expected) rookie salary cap, not to mention the possibility that there could be a strike, screwing up their first year.

The Atlanta paper has a story about this concerning Stafford and Moreno.
