RB Chris "Beanie" Wells (All B1G, All-American)

Did watch rome is burning just now? Jim Rome is an idiot an should be shot. He said Beanie should've told Tressel he wasnt going in and should've taken off the helmet and called it a day because it was a blowout. Jim Rome doesn't know shit and doesn't research anything whatsoever. He should not have a TV show.

First off, as an Ohio State football fan, I wish Beanie the best in his recovery from the injury. I agree with many of the other posters in that I hope he does not rush his return, although i certainly understand his wanting to get back onto the field to help this team.

With that being said, I think one positive of this injury is that it should force a lot of the veteran and younger players to elevate their game even further. Our "workhorse" may be down temporarily, so, it's time for the rest of the group to really focus and put 100% effort into each and every practice, film study, and game.

I'm in no way saying that the rest of the roster does not work hard to begin with, but, I'm hoping this injury forces this team to expand on it's abilities without Beanie Wells, and gives guys like Herron, Saine, Mo Wells, Pryor, Lamaar Thomas, and Posey an opportunity to show what they can do on their own.

I think we will see a solid outing by the Bucks this Saturday vs OU. I'm hoping to see some extended action (and game experience) by several of the players listed above.

My thoughts exactly. Rome has got to be the biggest tool in the area of so called "sports-media". The guy is one of the biggest douche bags out there.

If, and that's a huge if, Beanie feels good to go, and the staff sees no danger in his playing, I would like to see him get just a few snaps against OU. Only for the reason to give him a chance to test it out in a lower pressure atmosphere. If he plays against USC (if it's not safe, he shouldn't) without playing this Sat., the last memory he has of playing will be of the injury. A couple carries in garbage time against OU would help him get over the jitters about his foot, and the rousing cheers from the home crowd would give him a boost.
