RB Chris "Beanie" Wells (All B1G, All-American)

~55 seconds left in the 4th quarter. Cards lead 23-20.

New Orleans has no timeouts. It's 3rd down.

Whisenhunt passes. Incomplete.
Just saw the same thing. Luckily for the Cardinals it was a catch/fumble and Malcolm Jenkins made a bonehead play and saved it from going out of bounds and Larry Fitzgerald recovered. Well I say bonehead but if one of the Saints would have recoverd, it would have been the play of the day...

Nobody said Beanie deserved the ball. Hell a QB sneak in that situation would have been a good call. He was talking about the bad play call.
Again, I don't know that the guy calls a perfect game, but considering that they just beat the Saints, I'd think the silly stuff about his playcalling would take a rest.

Meanwhile, I was glad that Beanie got the touches, shame he didn't get a rythym going.

If he weren't inferring that Beanie should've gotten a carry, I'd agree, but I think he was.

Doesn't matter. The Cardinals won and the running game sucked. Gotta give them credit for that at least.
My wife does this to me all the time too. Always telling me what I was inferring. haha silly women....

It was a terrible playcall because they could have run 40 seconds off the clock by just running it into the LOS and punting..

In regards to Beanie.. as I've stated in the past, the team cannot run block.. it's even worse now since we are starting a rookie QB.. Saints just attacked the run all day..

20 carries for 35 is terrible, but quite frankly, that is all he could have gained given what was available.

I brought it up in this thread because there's been a ton of discussion about Whisenhunt and his playcalling.

Some have defended it. Simply decided to bring up another idiotic instance. I don't think there's any way to defend that, despite them winning. He decreased his team's chances immensely by putting the ball in the air and allowing Drew Brees to get the ball back. Like someone else said, a QB sneak is a good call.

I guess I could have gone to the game thread in the NFL forum, but this thread came to mind as far as this discussion. Sue me. :p
