RB Chris "Beanie" Wells (All B1G, All-American)

That picture makes me think that Jim Tressel was just nervous about losing Beanie for USC's game so he wants to withhold Beanie from Ohio's game in order to make sure that he'll be 100% by then. Even if he wasn't really injured enough to miss the game against Ohio.
you put that together all by yourself, did ya?

Beanie can levitate?

That must be the 'boot' Mark May was speakin of, no? When did Nike start making protective boots?

I think cincibuck mentioned earlier that Beanie had a protective boot on during the first half, and had the sneaker on in the second half...

I hope that Beanie got awfully hungry watching last Saturdays game from the sidelines. Can't wait to see him break one on the Trojans.

:oh:
:io:

I hope Beanie can remain confident and injury free in the USC game. It's going to be interesting to see how much he trusts his foot, as well as how much USC goes after it. Hope there is no re-aggravation of the injury.

The "jumping" picture seems to indicate Beanie is full go and confident in the foot.

I sat in the first row in section 19AA and saw no boot the whole game. Maybe he saw something I didn't, which is very well possible.

But screw Mark May anyway.

Great pic Josh, Beanie has some hops  Hopefully he can get back this week, and get the O-line fired up and coming off the ball. Sometimes, it seems the big-uglies (no offense intended) block a bit harder when they know that the guy behind them can take it all the way, which Beanie has obviously proven he can do.

Beanie has also shown an ability to catch the ball out of the backfield, swing it out to him and let him stiff arm some poor uSCum DB into the Pacific, I say.

:oh:

According to Mark May(the day come he gets fired), USC will not game plan for Beanie, their defense is that good.

If our O-line doesn't do a better job of creating some running room and shutting off backside pursuit, uSCum has no reason to game plan for anything :(

I want to believe our guys on the O-line can play with anyone else in the country. I really do. It's getting tougher to believe, though.

It could end up being on our defense to keep the score in check and give Beanie & Co. enough time to do their thing. A defensive score, a turnover, or a short field could be the difference between victory or defeat.

I know what you mean. If we could just get Beanie an inch and Boeckman a foot, we'd have the time to develop a play. Smith was missing assignments as the fullback, and that will absolutely kill tOSU if we can't pick up a blitz against USC. I'm hoping OU was a gut-check game and we hold our own, but we gotta give Todd some time if we're going to have a shot. I have a feeling our D finally shows up in spades and puts on a memorable show.

Guaranteed that OSU staff and players are downplaying the injury right now. Nobody but OSU needs to know what is going on during practices and with the "rehab" of Beanie

I don't care if USC knows, or fans know, anyone else for that matter.

Keep questioning the foot. Keep saying he'll only be 70%.

Beanie will go off.

Go Bucks.

Seems like the Buckeyes are playing off the Beanie roll right now. I think that they plan to make his comeback seem murky up until about gametime on Sat. At that point he will be introduced as the starter, a Jim Tressel attempt at firing the squad up.......and getting a cocky USC team to be a bit more nervous. After that point he will have a heisman type of day, dealing up over 180 yards. This will swing him to the forefront of the heisman discussion, with his team on his shoulders........eating up the headlines like he eats up the yardage this season. Vince Young cemented his legendary status one warm Sept. evening in Ohio stadium. He was one of the last to knock off USC in a big game. Now, the two dynasties have regrown, into two of the best in the land. Will Beanie start the quest towards greatness this week? I've got a hunch that he just may.........:osu: :wink2:
