Beanie's toe/foot, Beanie's toe/foot, Beanie's toe/foot.

It's hard to believe that an extremity on a college student could overshadow politics in an election year, but that is what has happened around the Buckeye State since Beanie Wells left the game against Youngstown State in obvious pain with an injured foot. Heck, the mania has become so overwhelming that there is hardly any Terrelle Pryor talk at the moment. Everybody everywhere wants to know about Beanie's foot. If you are a current OSU player, nobody wants to talk to you about anything except Beanie's foot.

"It can be tiresome, especially when it's your parents," said grinning Rory Nicol.

Marcus Freeman says wherever he goes, the question of the day is Beanie's foot.

Ohio State football: The latest on Beanie Wells

by Doug Lesmerises Wednesday September 03, 2008, 7:26 PM

Ohio State running back Beanie Wells did not practice on Wednesday afternoon, but there remains a possibility that he could play against Ohio on Saturday.
Ohio State running backs coach Dick Tressel met with reporters this evening to offer the latest update on Ohio State's star running back, who went down with an injury to his right foot Saturday.
Tressel offered the most clear description of the injury to date, saying it's on his foot at the base of his big toe. It's not very medical, but it's the most definitive word yet.

On how the decision will be made on whether Wells will play Saturday
"Beanie is a day-by-day situation. Any time you have a foot injury and you have to tote around 238 pounds at high velocity, it's day by day and (what matters is) how soon will he be able to go out and play without infringing on his ability to play.

Just about to the injury on the BTN replay.

I was sitting here, reading this thread, hearing about Beanie being ok, and then turn to BTN at the exact moment he went down. Bad deja vu.

But can we get a vBet on if, when, or how long Beanie will play on Saturday?

Or is that in bad taste?

Yeah, I was flipping channels and realized the BTN replay was on too. I called my wife into the room and told her to watch, cause the play that Beanie gets injured on was coming up.

It was a good thing we got a chance to see it again, because ESPN has completely ignored this story for the past five days.
