RB Chris "Beanie" Wells (All B1G, All-American)

And now for something relevant...

because some of these guys actually have votes.

CFN asks - Who will win the National Championship, the Heisman, etc...

Fiu: I'm going out on a major limb here and saying it'll be Texas Tech QB Graham Harrell. While I think Tim Tebow will be better, Harrell will win the Heisman based on ungodly numbers put up in a major conference. Just wait. There's going to be an anti-two Heisman thing happening against Tebow to open the door for someone like Harrell to come through. Ohio State's Chris Wells will finish third behind Tebow.

Richard Cirminiello: Ohio State RB Chris Wells. All of the ingredients are in place for Wells to be the seventh Buckeye to win the award. He?ll have the numbers and exposure on a ranked team to never drop below the radar.

Dennis Dodd: I know I have Tebow at the top of the list but the odds against him repeating are huge. I have a feeling that Chris Wells is going to have a monster year for Ohio State, a school accustomed to winning the Heisman.

Bruce Feldman: I?ll go with Tim Tebow. He?s already got the big name and the personality. Plus, UF will have plenty of weapons for him to work with. I doubt he?ll have the same gaudy stats, but he won?t need them as much. That said, if Beanie Wells can lead OSU to win at USC and go for over 100 yards, I think he could be tough to beat.

Heisman Pundit:

What Does Wells Have To Do? | Heismanpundit

What Does Wells Have To Do?

Chris Wells of Ohio State is our preseason Heisman front runner. What does he have to do to win the Heisman? This is a question we will answer for each of the major candidates, starting with Wells.

Stat requirements: Minimum 1,700 yards at the time of the Heisman vote. At least 15 rushing touchdowns. Must average at least five yards per carry.

Big Game Performances: Must play well against USC and Michigan, or any other games against ranked opponents. That means at least 100 yards in those outings, along with some game-changing plays.

Cont'd ...

Huge

Just a note from the grapevine. Beanie comes into my roommate's restaurant not all the time, but occassionally. He's always been big, as we all know, but apparently when he was in yesterday, he looked huge. also a little more cut. Obviously you expect this from an athlete who works that hard over several months time, but just thought everyone might be interested in hearing that he's going Gholston on us. I know his weight has been discussed before, i'm just really tired of waiting for football season and this is one of those tidbits i'm grasping at.

I think going Gholston is a pretty realistic assessment. In that, I mean leaving his junior year and be a top 10 pick. Although in Beanie's case I think he'll be top 5.

Thanks! Todd absolutely towers over both of them in pic #3. He may be pushing 6'6".

Came across this pic of Beanie on SI.com.

Who knows how many yards he would've racked up if he didn't have his own teammates trying to tackle him? :tongue2:

Or was trying to tackle himself (far right)! Beanie is so amazing, he can clone himself and line up for the other team while carrying the ball!
