Beanie continues to impress me everyday on and off the field!

We all knew how talented he was on the football field, but to be so much of a leader as a Soph. has surprised me. Beanie put his team on his shoulders and said "We WILL win this game!" yesterday and against MSU!! Not to mention he's running with SO much more power ( even on a "weaker" ankle ) and is doing a MUCH better job running through tackles.

Off the field he has been just as impressive. Again as a Soph. who knows he's got the talent to go as far as he wants to go... He's extremely level headed. I have read article after article..heard interview after interview of Beanie always making sure Mo.Wells and Brandon Saine got the respect they deserved... After hearing the media and fans give Mo.Wells a hard time - He made sure that everyone knew how well Mo ran against Penn State... And in another interview he said Brandon was going to go down as one of the best Running Backs ever to wear a Buckeye uniform...No mention of HIS 133 yards he put up against Penn State or that he himself will go down as one of our best backs.

They can say all they want about Hart and how well he runs ( and the kid can run ) but I'll take the kid who can run on the field and doesn't have to run his mouth off the field.

The kid is a Freak! A Natural Leader! A Class act and is truly something special!! I'm proud to have him as a Buckeye!!!

Great job Beanie!!!

Going to work late, Wells puts OSU on his back

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

The most meaningful run of Chris "Beanie" Wells' afternoon was not one of his three touchdowns, but rather his circuitous trot back to the Ohio State bench after he had tied the score against Wisconsin.

Avoiding the end zone celebration, the tailback took a lonesome loop behind everyone on the sideline and plopped down by himself on the cold metal.

"I wanted to send a message to my team," Wells said, "that just because someone scores a touchdown and puts us back in the game, we still have to go out there and continue to play football."

COLUMBUS ? The two biggest statements of the day were made by Chris "Beanie" Wells.
On one, the Ohio State running back boldly stepped forward and spoke his mind. On the other, he retreated at full sprint and never said a word.

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

When Chris "Beanie" Wells gets that look in his eye, Ohio State left guard Steve Rehring said, it's best to give him the ball and try to clear the defense out of the way.
That's what the offensive line did yesterday when Ohio State trailed Wisconsin 17-10 late in the third quarter. The Buckeyes responded by giving the ball to Wells, who delivered touchdown runs of 31 and 30 yards on consecutive possessions.
"When Beanie gets in that mode, you just let Beanie go," Rehring said.

BACK TO BEANIE:

Beanie's Day : Tailback Beanie Wells surprised some people when he sprinted through the endzone, around the end of the field and back to the OSU bench without celebrating with his teammates after scoring his first touchdown. After the game Wells explained that he wasn't trying to be anti-social, he was simply trying to send a message.
"I wanted to send a message to my team that just because somebody scores a touchdown to put us back in the game we still have to go out there and continue to play football," said Wells.

I love Christopher "Beanie" Wells.
