No Ohio State Running Back has ever rushed for over 200 yards in consecutive games.

Well it wasnt 200 yards but Wells was the heart of our offense with 133 on 25 carries at Penn for a season total of 996 by my count. Thats less than Hart's yardage on Penn but Hart had almost 20 more carries.

His runs tonight were sick, plowing through DB's and LB's. Even when they stacked the box he still managed to get 3-4 yards. The O-line was manhandling PSU's D-line and Beanie made use of every bit of help he got. No TD's but absolutely pivotal play by Beanie!

The way he seems caught for a 2 yard gain only to break free for a first down is as exciting for me as it must be heartbreaking for our opponents.

Beanie was grinding tonight like we all expect-great to see. I wish Tressel would have given him a few more carries in the 4th. Given that he is only 5th in B-10 in rushing, I wonder if the coaches/media will see the light and vote him 1st team All Big 10?

I doubt Beanie makes 1st team... even though I think he is the best back in the league. He doesn't get that many carries either. If he got 30-40 like Hart and Hill he'd be in the 1200 yard area.

It all comes down to how he performs head-to-head these last 3 weeks against Hill, Mendenhall, and Hart. If tOSU wins and he has a better day than them, he'll make 1st team.

Like I said in the game thread, hart has some competition as to who's the best back in the Big-10. Beanie has really come into his own the past few weeks and as his confidence grows, so will his numbers.

When you see that a RB has so many "carries," is that the number of times they get the ball, or the number of would-be tacklers they can drag into first downs?
