RB Carlos "El Guapo" Hyde (Official Thread)

Wonder why he didn't use Wilson then. The wisky defenders were in no shape to chase Wilson on end-around out routes, which would have been a nice break for Carlos.

Ball security (IMO). Dontre needs to improve holding on to the ball & he'll see more PT in "big" games.

Foot high grass??? Don't think so.

How many times has he lost the football?? Once? How many times did Rod Smith lose the football??
How many times has he fumbled in practice? You know that's where coaches decide who's going to play, right? Not on the night of the big game based on what the fans think willb work against a defense that they've studied for at least a week. How much film did you watch on NW?

I cordially disagree ;-) Braxton fumbled twice in this one, and Rod Smith did many times before. Philly Brown messed up big time on the punt big time at the Wisky game.

Except there is one rather large difference between Dontre Wilson and all those guys you listed - all of them are upper classmen now and Wilson is still a freshman. That matters, especially in the mind of a coach.

True...but Myers also said repeatedly that having Carlos AND Dontrell is what you need for this type of offense. It is just personal opinions here, folks. I don't have the facts and neither do you. I just thought that one or two carries here and there to let Carlos gain his wind back would mean a even better Carlos in other run plays. In addition, you are building confidence in a young guy that you have been talking about for the past six months of how great he is...and that he is part of your future!

Who is "Myers"?

These games aren't about gaining confidence in young guys, the goal is to win the game first.
