RB Carlos "El Guapo" Hyde (Official Thread)

Hmmm...I don't recall anyone slipping on the field all night. I also recall reading that the field has no effect on running that night.

Are you serious? I don't know how it looked on tv, but from where I sat (Front row) you could see tons of slipping and practically hear it. How about every time Braxton tried running the QB draw? Change of direction plays were few and far between. But again, I'm sure Myers didn't consider that.

It does not looked that way from the television, but you could be right. Like I said, no one complained about the field that I could recall. I did not see Braxton slip, but I will watch the game again though.

Even if the field is wet, you should still have equipment there to help your stud player to be part of the game by giving him the proper shoe for traction control. Just my opinion :-)

So running a fake punt with a freshman who never played organized football is safer? Dn't get me wrong, I love that call because the element of surprise was there. He just did not follow his blockers.

Did I say it was safer? In fact, if you bothered to look through the game thread, you'll find a whole slew of us saying the fake punt was a risky call.

Also, it's one thing to misspell Meyer, but it's entirely another to add letters and make is sound completely different when said "Myers".....

I did not say you said it was safer. My original post was a question as to why the coaches did not run Wilson more. Many here explained that ball control and not using a freshman for safer reasons, so I pointed out that running Wilson is safer than running a kid that never played American football. Yes, Mili, I do know he played rugby. That is why I said I liked the call.

Again, you know who I meant when I mistyped. However, if you want to pick on that, that is your choice, Mike.

meh...whatever....you're just making noise for the sake of making noise. It's the W that counts, not who the fans want the coaches to use....
