RB Carlos "El Guapo" Hyde (Official Thread)

4.66 unofficial according to 11W.

Don't think that will help or hurt him. IIRC correctly, Eddie Lacy (a similar style back) ran a similar time last year, still went in round 2, and went on to a nice rookie season.

They're bashing him pretty well on Michigan's Scout board. But, really, does it matter? I'm asking because I don't know - not a rhetorical question. I can see Wonderlic being a concern for quarterbacks, and I'm not saying that ANY position is a skill-only position. But is there a chance that guys go into the exams without giving a rat's ass how they do? If I understand it, it's a timed test and if you run out of time, you're out all the questions you didn't get to. If someone doesn't take the test seriously, it's easily conceivable that he's not going to do very well.

How easily the folks up in Ann Arbor forget Mario Manningham and his '6' on the Wonderlic.

Regardless, if El Guapo indeed scored a '9' that is an embarrassing reflection on Ohio State. Not so much a stain on his pro prospects, but it hurts the image of the university.

Sorry, one's ability to take a test or not take a test has no bearing on their intelligence or their ability to succeed in life, be a great leader, or be a great asset to an organization or society as a whole. The sooner that education and other entities get away from thinking that just because you can score high on the ACT, SAT, or Wonderlic that means you are destined for greatness and begin to look at emotional intelligence the better. This is why it is important to look at the body of an individuals work and understand how it relates.

And oh yeah FUCK MICHIGAN.....
