Carlos Hyde, aka El Guapo

[Carlos] Hyde took on the twitter name of @elguapo after it appeared on a story about him while he was at Ohio State. “I got it from an article a guy wrote about me out of Columbus (Ohio),” Hyde said. “It went from there. I changed all my social media names to ‘El Guapo.’”

“People can put their names to it,” Hyde said. “That’s what the Nebraska guy [Ameer Abdullah, @Ameerguapo] did.”

Hyde, however, wants to make it clear. “I am El Guapo,” he said. “The handsome one.”

5. Not so Raw Hyde

Carlos Hyde. All eyes are on you. The 49ers have lost two running backs to injury so far. Kendall Huntersuffered a torn right ACL andLaMichael James went down with an elbow injury, which isn't considered to be as serious, according to multiple reports. That means the rookie runner will have a chance to be Frank Gore’s backup this season. So far, Hyde has shown he can stand out in a crowded, 90-man practice field.
