RB Carlos "El Guapo" Hyde (Official Thread)

I don't think Cinci will be looking for a running back...at least in the first 3 rounds. The have Gio who is a stud and Green-Ellis under contract for 1 more year. I could see the drafting for depth in the later rounds. If Carlos is there in rounds 4-6 they would probably grab him. They need a thunder to Gio's lightning but I just don't see them picking up someone in the early rounds.

Agreed...Gio is the future in Cincy and they aren't going to pay a ton for BJGE's replacement to supplement him. I think Atlanta would be a great fit for Carlos and they absolutely could use him there...I think he will have a better chance of success there then in Cleveland. I also think Miami would be a great fit for him, as well as Arizona, NYG, and maybe New England. All those teams need RBs and he would provide good value in the 2nd round (just guessing 2nd due to where RBs get drafted now).

Can we ever say enough about the season that Hyde has had? This says a lot.

This will be the biggest heartbreak for me this season.

I try not to get caught indulging in the "what-ifs", but Carlo's case is noteworthy to me. Minus the 3 game suspension, he's very likely a serious Heisman candidate going into the B1G Champ game. Maybe that sways some playcalling (possibly even for just ONE play), maybe we win that game, maybe we're looking at a BCS Championship Game featuring Heisman #1 vs Heisman #2 (in either order) and the most decorated team in the BCS era vs the first BCS winner. Maybe Carlos becomes a major household name and goes late 1st early 2nd round.

I feel bad for a lot of the seniors when it comes to the disappointment of not reaching their championship goals, but I feel most for Carlos.

I agree. Two games in a row you take the ball out of your work horse Senior's hands w/ the season on the line. Especially after OSU got the quick TO, Braxton still a little banged up, you ride the big fella and go right @ them. You have the momentum, you have 4 downs to get the 1st down. Pound, pound pound.

Thanks Carlos! You were truly a joy to watch this year, and I'm sure you found yourself on the list of all-time favorites for many fans, mine included. As a Browns fan I would love to see you in Cleveland, but as a Bucks fan and Hyde fan, I want to see you have a successful career, not get killed!
