Ohio State's Carlos Hyde is among the top RB prospects in the 2014 draft class.

Ohio State's Carlos Hyde continues to build a strong case to be one of the top running backs selected in the 2014 draft.

The 6-foot, 235-pound senior is an old school tailback with the size, strength and power that NFL scouts covet in feature backs. While my colleague, Gil Brandt, has said Hyde lacks speed and quickness, I didn't believe those things were an issue based on my perspective from the Michigan press box during last week's Buckeyes-Wolverines game. Hyde flashed impressive short-area quickness with the ball in his hands. I believe his second-level acceleration and burst rates slightly above average.

I think Hyde is set to be the best "former Buckeye" in the NFL since Eddie. He has all the tools that the great NFL backs posess in todays game. He's big, he has vision, he can run routs and catch passes, he blocks, he works hard and his running style seems to keep him relatively healthy (knock on wood.) I see him having a long and very successful career playing on Sundays.

If Winston is charged beforehand, he doesn't win it.
If Winston is charged afterwards, they wait for the trial to play out before doing anything.
ESPiN has been pushing Winston -- basically "we can always take it away later, but it'd be a travesty if he's not guilty and we voted somebody else in"

If it transpires that Winston isn't guilty, it would be a shame if he weren't awarded the Heisman. He's certainly been the "most outstanding" on the field this season.

If it turns out he is guilty, he'll continue a recent trend of awarding the trophy to felons and fuckwits.

I disagree. Ill take Jordan Lynch's 2,457 yds passing, 1755 yds rushing, 43 TDs, and 5 INTs, and a perfect season.

As for Carlos, he has certainly left a mark on Buckeye lore that cannot be taken away. First 1000 yd RB for Urban, 226 against Michigan, rebounded big time from his suspension to shoulder a lot of the load and carry the team when needed. He's a physical back that doesn't back down. IMO, he has the most heart as a RB that we have had at Ohio State since Beanie.

That said, you could make the case for 3 players ahead of him, one of which being his own teammate, Braxton.
