RB Bri'onte Dunn (dismissed from team)

because you're not from NJ and probably don't know beyond the few plays you saw before his injury.. but in HS... wooooooooo.. killer RB and WR
and if you look at the list of WRs..we're LOADED

PS We took our #1 FB and put him at LB... which was close to sole reason we went UNDEFEATED.. because we had some pretty good backups
What does what he did in HS have to do with anything? Dunn was also a beast in HS... I believe Brown is our #1 WR, moving him to RB sounds like a weak and foolish move, and that the staff needs to panic to find a big RB when one isn't needed. Our team is littered with guys who were The Man in HS, but that means nothing at this level now. Give me Weber, Samuel, Wilson and Williams and call it a day. Depth is fine, Dunn wasn't set to be an enormous factor like many have stated. We hoped he would, but his loss isn't enormous. Best of luck to him though

11W story on why Dunn got dismissed from the team:

BRI'ONTE DUNN'S ALLEGED VICTIM: HE HIT AND CHOKED ME

72285_h.jpg,qitok=nu4Qnvm-.pagespeed.ce.raTcFYQzWh.jpg

Ohio State dismissed senior running back Bri'onte Dunn on Monday night after a reported physical confrontation with his girlfriend that resulted in a civil order of protection against him.

Laura Borchers of WBNS-10TV Columbus obtained the Sunday morning 911 call from the alleged victim, and if the details are true, it's easy to see why Ohio State dropped the axe so swiftly.

"He hit me the first time at 4:40. I left," the alleged victim said to dispatchers. "Then I was just calling my friend and see if I could sleep somewhere and nobody answered. So I made a circle back around and came back here and he was still here. So I came upstairs and I said you need to leave before I call the cops. He saw that I had my phone out cause I was going to try to record it because this isn’t the first time that this has happened and that’s when he started going crazy."

She also alleges Dunn hit and choked her.

This isn't what she said in court. She claimed no injuries. The restraining order, which the media outlets are reporting to be granted, was denied.

That's not to say Brionte should be on the team. Not at all. But she said something entirely different during her CPO hearing.

Half of those guys aren't even RBs on the depth chart. Depth is an issue, whether it becomes a problem or not is another matter entirely.
Which depth chart are you referring to? The "projected" ones released by various sites right after the spring game? The one of the official site in from Dec 16 of last year. If you've seen a recent, official depth chart released by the staff, please provide it. Otherwise, the term "depth chart" is meaningless right now.

Samuel being listing as an H-back doesn't prevent his being used as a RB if need be. He was the #2 RB in 2014 and 2015 and took carries in the national title game against Oregon. He is an absolutely viable option at RB, regardless if he's listed on a depth chart as H-Back, water boy, or cheerleader. He can easily be shifted over from HB to RB. The staff may indeed prefer him in the HB role and develop Weber and Williams more as pure RBs, but that doesn't negate Samuel's proven viability as a RB also. We have Woody's "pair and a spare" at RB...

Mili, I don't want to argue with you anymore, because you just like to argue. Bottom line is that we have little experience at the position and half the people you mentioned in your prior post were not assigned to the RB position last year and were not projected to be at that position coming out of spring. The fact that this might have to change would seem to make it obvious that there are depth issues. I see no reason why tOSU can't rise above it, but it's an obvious area of concern.

Agreed. Not sure why some keep harping on the "true RB". As OSU has multiple guys that can carry the ball. As Urban at UF used guys that weren't "true RBs" to carry the ball and had success.

Yup, and they might make good RBs, but that wasn't the plan for them. Hopefully it won't matter.
I thought HBs were hybrid RB/WR, so the plan was for them to get carries anyway... So not sure where depth would still be an issue. Now the carries that Dunn would've gotten get split between JT, Weber, Samuel, Williams and Wilson
